Located 1/2-mile south of mile marker zero on the ICW.  100 floating wet slips, 300 dry rack slips for storage.  Two fully stocked marine stores supported by West Marine.  Laundry and restrooms w/ provate showers.  WiFi and cable on the docks.  On property is a mega yacht repair facility, boatstin a 1,250-ton Syncrolift capapble of hauling yachts up to 235'.   Depth at mean tide is 30'.  A pump out station is located on the fuel dock.  High volume fuel station along with the capability to bunker fuel.  30/50/100 amps, 3 phase and 480v available.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:

Portsmouth was established in 1752 and is located on the western side of the Elizabeth River directly across from the City of Norfolk, home of the largest Navy Base in the world.  Among these 18th and 19th century buildings, you’ll enjoy a river front park and an abundance of places to see and tour.  A trolley tour of these historical structures is available and within walking distance of your slip.  Harbor tours are also available within walking distance on the Spirit of Norfolk and the Carrie B.  You are also within walking distance of the Naval Shipyard Museum, the lightship Museum, the Children’s Museum of VA, the Virginaia Sports Hall of Fame, the 1946 Courthouse Fine Arts Gallery, Community Arts Center, the Portsmouth Pavilion and the Old Harbor Market.  A short, scenic drive away are such historic attractions as Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown and James River Plantations, as well as the theme parks Busch Gardens, Water County USA, Ocean Breeze Water Park and of course, the Virginia Beach resort area oceanfront.  Festivals all year long  just across the Elizabeth River (ICW) including Bayou Boogaloo & Cajun Food Festival, Summer Brewfest, Jazz Festival, Midsummer Fantasy Festival, Latino Music Festival, RibtoberFest, and the Virginia Wine Festival.  On the water, you’ll never have to leave your boat to enjoy such fun festivals and activities such as Harborfest, 4th of July, Race to Cock Island, Rendexvous-Mile Marker Zero, Parade of Lights and New Year’s Eve festivities.  You’ll have a front row seat to everything that Portsmouth and Norfolk have to offer!

 

LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR ONBOARD TENDERS AND TOYS:

Jet skis and tenders are allowed on the ICW.  Keep in mind that we are home of the largest Navy base so all vessels must keep at least 100 yards from the military ships.  While passing the shipyards and marinas all vessels must obey the no wake zones.

 

REPAIR SERVICES AND DRYDOCKS:

On-site mega-yacht service facility featuring a 250 ton Syncrolift.

PILOTAGE REGULATIONS:

A recreational vessel that is both less than 200 ft in overall length and has less than a 12 foot draft may not be required to employ a licensed pilot.

WASTEWATER DISCHARGE:

It is illegal to discharge untreated sewage from boats in all Virginia waters.  The US Coast Guard regulation require all vessels to disable the Marine Sanitation Device discharge capability while operating in the No Discharge Zone (NDZ)
